The move comes after the foundation announced last week that Aya Miyaguchi, who had served as executive director since 2018, has assumed the role of president of the organization.

The Ethereum Foundation (EF), a nonprofit supporting the development of the Ethereum blockchain, has added two new members to its executive roster.

The organization announced new leadership with the addition of Hsiao-Wei Wang and Tomasz Stańczak as co-executive directors in a post published on March 1. Their new appointments will take effect on March 17.

Under the leadership of the new co-executive directors, the Ethereum Foundation said it will ensure that Ethereum and its ecosystem continue to evolve and that such development promotes its core and foundational values. These values include open source, security, privacy, and permissionless global collaboration.

The team added that the Ethereum ecosystem must undergo a “challenging transformation” in the coming years. It is moving from “an early-stage project serving a small number of enthusiasts to a powerful, permissionless, censorship-resistant base layer in the global financial and software stack.”
